Glamsterdam is not the end of the road; it’s the beginning of a new chapter where Ethereum redefines its L1 role as a high-value settlement layer, not a general-purpose execution layer for all transactions. The DEX—especially Uniswap, Hyperliquid, and their ilk—will be the litmus test. If DEXs can operate smoothly on L1 with lower fees and faster execution, we’ll see a migration of high-frequency trading back to the mother chain.
